Summer Session - Franklin Public Schools

Tues 2/10/26 Update: Registration for K-8 & 9-12 Summer Learning & Enrichment Courses has now closed. The registration links below may still be filled out for 'waitlist' only. If spots open up as Summer Session gets closer, you will be contacted about your child obtaining a seat in a course.

Please note that registration links are still available below for our 6th Grade & 9th Grade 2-day programs that take place in August! Kids Club only registration will open on April 1st.

This year, we are combining all of our summer options on to this one page for families and creating opportunities to register once if you plan for your child to do K-8 Summer Learning & Enrichment along with Kids Camp. Registration guides and course information are linked by program at the bottom of this page. Scroll through to learn more about our various options!

Transition Programming (Entering Grade 6 & 9) - REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

Registration Dates: Tuesday, January 20 - Thursday, July 16, 2026

General Information:

NOTE: Jumpstart programming for students entering 5K is provided through the K-8 Summer Learning & Enrichment Program (see above)

Transition to Middle School (grade 6), Course runs for two days: Embarking on the journey to middle school is an exciting time! This class is an opportunity for incoming sixth grade students to get oriented to Forest Park Middle School and learn more about expectations and opportunities for students here. Students will practice communication skills and learn positive behavior and study skills to help with middle school life. Students will be introduced to the building, some staff members, and the various learning environments. This class will promote a sense of community as students are introduced to future classmates and various staff members through structured activities and games and while being exposed to the various supports and resources available in middle school. Tips about organization, preparation, time management, and homework completion are included. District transportation is not available for this course.

Dates: August 12th - August 13th
Times: 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Transition to Franklin High School (grade 9) Course runs for two days: Beginning high school is an exciting time! This class is an opportunity for incoming ninth grade students to get oriented to Franklin High School and learn more about expectations and opportunities for students here. Students will practice communication skills and learn positive behavior and study skills to help with high school life. Students will be introduced to the building, some staff members, and some FHS students. District transportation is not available for this course.
