WSMA District Solo/Ensemble Contest

Franklin High School is hosting a WSMA District Solo & Ensemble Festival this Saturday, March 7th with performances taking place from 8am to 4pm. Spectators are welcome! Show your support for music education as students from area schools perform vocal and instrumental solos, duets, trios and small ensembles before WSMA-assigned adjudicators. FHS Saber Theatre is proud to present CHICAGO (Teen Edition) as our spring musical performance.

"Chicago: Teen Edition" is a high school adaptation of the classic Broadway musical, "Chicago," set in the Roaring Twenties. The story follows Roxie Hart, a wannabe vaudevillian who murders her lover and, with the help of her fellow inmate, Velma Kelly, and the smooth-talking lawyer Billy Flynn, navigates the corrupt justice system and media frenzy surrounding her case. The show explores themes of fame, ambition, and the dark side of celebrity culture, all while delivering high-energy musical numbers and choreography.
