Beginning Band or Orchestra Camp

Summer 2018: Beginning Band or Orchestra Camp
Thursday and Friday, August 16 and 17, and Monday and Tuesday, August 20 and 21, from
8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Robinwood Elementary School. These camps are ONLY available for 4th grade students entering 5th grade in the Fall, 2018.

Come join the fun! Elementary Summer School will be offered for students entering first through sixth grade from June 18th to July 18th (please note: no school on July 4th) at Pleasant View Elementary School.
It is important to note that students who are entering 7th grade attend the middle/high
school summer school program.

If you have a child entering grades 1 through 6, within Franklin Public Schools, you will have an opportunity to register, for all general classes, online during the window which runs from April 9th-16th at the following website: http://summerps.franklin.k12.wi.us/public/
Note: You will not be able to register until April 9th even if you have your login and password before that date. You will receive your login and password, before April 9th.

If you are a Franklin Resident interested in signing up for summer school and you do not have a child in Franklin Public Schools, you can fill out the 2018 Franklin Resident -Non FPS form on the website. If you prefer, you can call (414) 529-8233 and leave a detailed message with your son/daughter's name, school, your name, your email address, and phone number (after March 15th). You will get a return email, letter or call and will be issued a registration login ID after we get some additional information. Once you receive the login, you will need to fill out an online registration form for the classes during the April 9th– 16th window. Classes are NOT first come first serve rather they are computer generated to best meet the needs of all students. In addition, there is NO guarantee if you chose a 1st session class or a 4th session class that your child will be assigned to that specific session .

HOW DO I REGISTER FOR SUMMER SCHOOL THIS YEAR?
You will receive an email that lists a login and password for you to register your child for
summer school by April 9th. If you have not received this information by April 9th, please
contact your home school's office

WHAT IF SOME CLASSES ARE FULL?
We are using a registration program and we are trying to accommodate as many student
schedules as possible with this program. There is no guarantee that a student will or will not get into summer school because this program builds the best schedule in the hopes of
scheduling as many students as possible within the class size constraints. If you want to
increase your child's chances of getting into summer school, you need to be sure to select up to four "Alternate" classes. You will not receive confirmation of your summer school registration unless your son's/daughter's schedule requests were able to be accommodated by the scheduling program. If the schedule has been accommodated by the scheduling program, the confirmation will be sent to you by the second week of May. If you have registered for summer school and your schedule has not been accommodated, you will not receive any confirmation. If you do not get into summer school, you can fill out the waiting list and we will try to accommodate your requests. Please understand that a full schedule may no longer be available. There is a greater likelihood that classes for grades 4-6 may be available rather than those for grades K-3.

Elementary Transportation

• Transportation is provided to summer school ONLY if your child begins the day with Session One at summer school.

•Transportation is provided home from summer school mid-day ONLY if your child attends Session Four at summer school.

•Transportation (Shuttle) is provided to summer school from Kid's Camp in the morning ONLY if your child attends Session One of summer school. NOTE: Your child must be at Robinwood by 7:30 A.M. in order to ride the shuttle.

• Transportation is provided to Kids Camp from summer school mid-day ONLY if your child attends Session Four of summer school.

Summer School / Kids Camp Transportation:

Students who want bus transportation to school must be enrolled in the session one of summer school. Students who want transportation from summer school must be enrolled in session four of summer school.
