The following is the selection criteria for individuals deserving of honor on the Franklin High School Wall of Fame. A subcommittee of coaches approved this selection format on June 22, 2026. It should be noted that there was a conscious decision to create an objective process that rewards athletes/coaches who are truly outstanding. The following are stipulations of the selection process.
Nominees may be living or deceased and may be nominated by any individual. While the Hall of Fame Committee may consider accomplishments beyond Franklin High School, a nominee's achievements, impact, and contributions during their time at Franklin High School will be given the greatest consideration.
Character & Conduct Consideration
The Franklin High School Athletic Hall of Fame seeks to recognize individuals who have represented Franklin High School with excellence, integrity, and sportsmanship. In addition to athletic accomplishments and contributions, the Hall of Fame Committee may consider issues related to character, conduct, sportsmanship, or violations of school, team, league, or legal codes when evaluating nominees. Hall of Fame induction is considered a privilege and honor, not an automatic recognition based solely on athletic achievement.
Annual Induction Class
The Hall of Fame Committee will select up to seven (7) inductees annually. The committee reserves the right to induct fewer than seven nominees in any given year if it determines that the candidate pool does not meet the standards and expectations of the Franklin High School Athletic Hall of Fame.
