Teaching and Learning
The Teaching and Learning department operates side-by-side with Student Services under Instructional Services in Franklin Public Schools.
We believe that students need to be engaged, supported, challenged and prepared for a global future. This is accomplished through collaborative, continuous improvement processes among teachers and administration. The Teaching and Learning Team consists of the Director of Teaching and Learning, and instructional coaches.
Through a continuous improvement process each subject area is reviewed and improvements are made in all of its aspects on an annual cycle. The data driven phases of this process drive instructional practices, assessment, professional development and budget decisions related to the subject area that is under review.
Through a combination of the district level, school level, and grade/department level collaboration and accountability for student learning, the Teaching and Learning team provides high levels of student, teacher, and administrative growth.
