FHS Yearbook Order deadline February 3rd
YEARBOOKS – The deadline for ordering yearbooks has been extended to Friday, February 3rd. There were some technical problems over the weekend and students were not able to access the website. If you have not yet ordered a yearbook and still want one, you must place your order on line at www.yearbookforever.com by February 3rd. There will not be additional extensions of the timeline, so don't miss out on this opportunity to have the 2011/2012 FHS yearbook. We will not have any yearbooks to sell from the office or the bookstore after delivery. Order now!
FHS Cellphone Collection to benefit Prom 2012
Tired of those old cell phones laying around collecting dust? Bring them to the main office at FHS or at Home events (games, meetings, meets, etc.) from January 10-31st. Collection boxes are available at the gym doors by ticket sales or in the main office at FHS.
For most models, personal data will be erased by the recycling facilities. For anyone concerned with personal data on the phones, data erasing is a simple process, usually found in your phone's menu or your users manual. If you have questions you may e-mail or call 877-744-3601. Phones with batteries and covers are preferred, but any phone in any condition is accepted. Accessories do not have to be turned in, but there will be a collection box for these also. Please no user manuals.
All proceeds will go to benefit Prom 2012. thank you!
FHS Flash Mob
That's right - if you were in 1st lunch on Wednesday, you were able to witness a flash mob. The Saber Roar is working on a show called Bucket List which is about what you want to do in HS before you graduate. The Broadcast Communications II students (Anne Fuller, Siera Spahiu, Cameo Jastrow, Josh Mack, Alex Hein, and Danny Kingstad) were in charge of making this happen. It was a well orchestrated event, supported by the staff, and was positive and well received by the students. Thanks Saber Roar - it was fun!

FHS Student wins film award
Please congratulate Alexis Daubner. Her screenplay, Spare Change, was made into a short film June of 2010 after she won Milwaukee Film Collaborative Cinema screenwriting contest. The film recently won the Audience Choice Award from the Central Wisconsin Film Festival. It's only the second time a Collaborative Cinema film has won an audience award. Congratulations Alexis.
If you'd like an opportunity like Alexis, the Milwaukee Film Collaborative Cinema teen screenwriting program has begun accepting ideas. Students get mentor support in crafting the perfect screenplay. If yours is chosen it will be made into a short film. For information see Ms. DeClark or online at Milwaukee-Film.org.
