Board Goals - 2011/12
STATEMENT of PURPOSE
The primary responsibility of the Franklin Board of Education is to ensure that student achievement is our highest priority, that the District operates under sound fiscal management, and that operational processes and procedures are efficient and effective.
This year, the Board is continuing work on the following four goals:
1. Define, document, and implement School Board governance processes and products for structure and consistency.
2. Develop board governance capacity.
3. Continue to develop board/superintendent partnership and role definition.
4. Develop positive image of the board.
Work on these goals are discussed monthly at Board meetings.
