Judy was new to the board as of April, 2009. She is the Chariperson of the Community Education and Recreation Committee and also serves on the Curriculum Committe and as the current WASB Delegate.

"I feel both proud and humbled to have been chosen by the community of Franklin to represent the best interests of their children and of the community at large. I have been involved in educational endeavors for the past 45 years, and I am always looking for new ways to utilize my skills and continue my work with children. Volunteering at Southwood Glen to build reading skills with the children from K-Grade 4 has prompted me to recognize the excellence for which the Franklin school system is noted. Also, observing my five grandchildren learning within this system has moved me to embrace this journey.

My challenge will be to make judgments that will best serve our children to preserve the excellence, while maintaining a realistic balance with the needs of the community."
