Beginning August 1, 2011, each family will be able to view their student’s lunch account balances through a new service called "Cafe PrePay." Using this optional service, families may add money to these individual accounts using their Visa, MasterCard or Discover. Students' participation reports will become available once school begins. Please note: There are other payment features on this web browser, but our school district will only be using the system for accepting payment for lunches. See Epay for other Franklin Public Schools payment features.

In order for you to use any of these features, you will need to set up an account on cafeprepay.com Once your account is established, links will be available through the Franklin Public School’s website, near the lunch menus, and through PowerSchool.

These features do not require you to give out any credit card information. You will simply be asked to enter your email address and a password, which will be used each time you log in. Please note that a valid email address is required.

Café Prepay enables you to view your student’s participation report, which means you can monitor your child’s spending and see exactly what he/she is eating each day via the Participation Report link. Viewing these reports will start in September once the students are back in school.

Participation in this service is voluntary; there will be a flat service fee of $2.50 for every student account you add money to. You may enroll at any time, and we will continue to collect cash and check as a form of payment.

Deposits can be made 24 hours a day, seven days a week. In order for your payment to be credited for the same day lunch, the payment must be submitted by 10:45 a.m.

Café Prepay also offers an Automatic Replenish feature. With this feature, if a student's account balance falls below a specified amount, another specified amount is then deposited into the student's account via credit card. Using "automatic replenish on low balance," the student will never run out of money. Conversely, your credit card will not be charged until the student's balance goes below the specified dollar amount.
