Franklin Residents - All students residing within the Franklin school district boundaries are issued bus information in August. Bussing is provided by First Student (Laidlaw). If you have problems with bus pick ups or drop offs, please notify the office so we can look into the issue. First Student's phone is 414-422-2020. It is very important the school receives a change of address prior to your moving. Setting up a new stop, or approving your child to a stop could take a few days or up to a week. Submit a Bus Route Change Request form. If you need a different bus other than your home (i.e. day care provider or alternate parent homes) submit an Alternate Bus Route Change. If your student leaves an item on the bus, we can also check with First Student to see if the item has been found (please note, they will often bring items found on the bus directly to the office if they are aware it was left by a Forest Park student --- each driver may transport students from other schools following our routes and they may not be aware who left the items on a bus). After school buses - Franklin School District does not provide busing for after school activities. Chapter 220 students - receive their bus information directly from MPS. If you have a change of address during the school year, notify the office so that transportation can be changed with MPS. Note that this process can take one to two weeks to complete and you may be asked to use your existing stop until new bussing is available. After school bus - 4:30 - currently those buses are provided by MPS for after school activities. |
