Introduction

My role as a Library Media Specialist has changed dramatically over the past decade with the increased use of technology and huge amount of information that we are exposed to each day. My primary responsibility is to help students and staff improve their information and technology literacy skill levels.  This is accomplished through:

  • Collaborating with teachers, staff, and other members of the learning community to integrate information literacy skills throughout the teaching and learning process
  • Promoting information literacy skills in such areas as: reading programs, literature appreciation, information seeking skills, and uses of information technology
  • Scheduling classroom visits as well as maintaining flexible access to the LMC so students and staff may use the resources as needed

Library Media Center Staff:

Library Media Specialist: Mrs. Louise Weber            ITL EAs: Mrs. Lauren Schauer and Mrs. Denise Slawny
