A phone call will be made to all families and staff members via the Alert Now Phone Messaging System in the event of a school closing. Further information about weather-related school closings can be heard on your local radio or television stations in the morning. The announcement will be for: Franklin Public Schools. Do not confuse Franklin Public Schools with Oak Creek-Franklin School District as this is a separate school system. Everyone Should Have a Back-Up Plan
In the event of an early school closing due to bad weather or your arrival at home later than your usual scheduled time because of an unexpected circumstance, you should talk with your children about what they should do if they arrive home and you are not there. Please let them know if they should go to a neighbor's house, call grandparents, or stay where they are. This should help with some of the problems that can occur with children being frightened and uncertain of what they are to do in such situations.
